Welcome

Welcome to FallSong '26, PFS's sixth annual online music weekend, October 23-25 2026,

We invite you to look at the schedule and go ahead and register below.
Registration

Registration is easier than ever with only three questions: first name, last name, email.

You'll see the Registration button after you work your way down to the bottom of this page.

FallSong Schedule

There are two ways to see the FallSong Schedule: List View and Calendar View. We suggest that the List view is best to acquaint yourself with all the events, and the Calendar view will help you schedule the events you want to attend each day. Look at both views to understand what they both offer.

In either view, click on any event and a window will pop up giving you more information.

Note that the software adjusts the times of the events to your time zone. In Europe, many events run into the wee hours of the following morning. Because of this, we are using a 24-hour clock. If you are in the Pacific time zone, the calendar starts at midnight Friday, so you will have to scroll down to find the first events.

To choose the right day go to the upper left where you'll see "Today "with left and right arrows. Right takes you to a day later, Left takes you back a day.

Room 0 is where you are when you join FallSong and where single events occur. When there are simultaneous events, pass through Room 0 to reach Rooms 1–5. A host is always available in Room 0 to help you. There will also be additional breakout rooms available at all times.

The Blue Circle with three lines has additional options, including printing the schedule.

We recommend that you keep one of those views of the schedule open in a browser window. They will be instantly updated if there is any change in the schedule, and they are both clickable to show more information about the events.

Some participants may want PDFs of the calendar. We do not recommend printing these because of the dark colors and the amount of ink they will use. And of course they will not be automatically updated and they do not contain more information about the events. Finally, for some reason we don't understand, they all made a quarter turn so they are hard to read. But - It's up to you.

History Of FallSong

PFS got into virtual (on-line) music at the beginning of the Covid lockdown. In March 2020, we started the Virtual Song Circle, and it has met every Saturday night since then for about 360 consecutive weeks. We discovered that many people were very happy to make music together on Zoom. So, in October 2021, we held the first FallSong, modeled after Singtime, our annual in person music weekend.

As the years went on, we experimented with different designs for the FallSong weekend. Guided by participant evaluations, the event has gelled into its current format, with song circles, workshops and mini-concerts. In response to popular demand, there are a few more events each year - providing more opportunities for participants to find things they will enjoy.

FallSong has always been free, but there are indirect costs and so we invite contributions. Participants have been generous, contributing a total of $4,599 to PFS since we began. If you are moved to contribute, please just go up to the DONATE tab at the top of the page. FallSong is the first option. Thanks!

Remember that you don't have to be a "good singer" to come to FallSong. It's very unlikely you will ever be either the best or the worst singer in a room. And no one cares! Just bring yourself and your heart, and the music will flow.

Would you like to Volunteer?

FallSong is run by volunteers, 100%. The period to sign up to lead events has ended, but we have waiting lists for mini-concerts, song circle leaders, and workshop leaders. Answer the volunteering questions when your register and we'll put you on a waiting list. We have a few more openings for Session Assistants, so if you have done a good bit on Zoom and are competent in using Zoom, let us know when you register.

How to make sure everyone has a good time at FallSong

Usually, everyone will have a good time at FallSong no matter what. But sometimes there are "paper cuts" - things that happen that leave people feeling a little grumpy or that taint the memory of the weekend.

So we're really happy to show this short video that Heather Preston and Dave Orleans made a couple years ago for Fallsong. It contains some good advice for all of us. Please take a moment to watch it !

Clicking will take you to another page which will ask you to give your first name, last name, and email. Just takes a moment and then you're done.

If you would like to volunteer, we'll ask you a few more questions and put you on a waiting list.

We don't charge for FallSong because it is online with no venue, meals or insurance and because volunteers do EVERYTHING. However, like any NGO, keeping PFS going does have costs. If you are able and willing, here are two options to support PFS:

Become a member. There are membership tiers for any budget and membership has benefits.

Contribute. FallSong attendees have been very generous in the past and it is appreciated.

Click here to contribute.     Find out about joining PFS (non-members only)

Thanks!
