What is this?
Summer Acoustic Music in the Pines (SAM Camp) – SAM Camp, started by Portland’s own Mark McPherson, is not about learning, but about playing -- log cabins in the woods, a lodge by the lake, hiking trails, plenty of good food, new friends and lots of home-made music. No classes…eat, jam, sleep, repeat. The dates are Aug 25-30. SAM Camp is sponsored by the Portland FolkMusic Society. For more information, go to http://www.summeracousticmusic.org/.
This year’s Summer Acoustic Music in the Pines camp will open on Sunday, and end at noon on Friday. SAM camp is intended for adults over 18 years of age, and is held near Bremerton on the beautiful Kitsap Penninsula in Washington State.
The registration fee for this year’s camp is $650, which includes housing, bedding, all meals, and nightly snacks. If you wish, you can choose to pay a $50 nonrefundable deposit when you register, paying the balance later, but before you arrive at camp.
COVID Policy:
For the safety of other campers and staff, each of us must have completed a Covid-19 vaccination series including one booster before coming to camp. We recommend that you digitize your COVID-19 vaccination record card, so you can provide evidence of your current vaccination status. Additional information about COVID protocols will be available as the date for camp approaches.
